CreamofDaCrop β€” What It Is, How It Works, and When to Use It

Most skiers know Hertel for Super HotSauce and Rub N Go. CreamofDaCrop is the one the serious glide chasers reach for.

CreamofDaCrop is a paste wax β€” no iron required, no scraping, no mess. It goes on like a cream, buffs to a hard finish, and delivers a slick, fast base that holds up across multiple runs. It was developed by Terry Hertel as a finishing layer β€” something you apply over a base wax to maximize surface speed and repel dirt and moisture at the molecular level.

How It’s Different from Other Hertel Waxes

  • Super HotSauce is your all-conditions iron-on wax β€” deep penetration, long-lasting, best for full wax jobs
  • Rub N Go is your on-mountain quick fix β€” pocket-sized, no iron, 8 applications per bar
  • CreamofDaCrop is your finishing layer β€” applied cold, buffed hard, adds a speed coat on top of whatever base you’re running

You can use it standalone for a quick tune, or layer it over Super HotSauce for maximum performance.

When to Use It

  • Before a race or a big powder day when you want every advantage
  • When your bases feel slow but you don’t have time for a full iron wax
  • As a regular maintenance coat between full wax jobs
  • On rental skis or snowboards that haven’t been waxed in months

How to Apply

  1. Clean your base (dry, no moisture)
  2. Apply a thin layer of CreamofDaCrop with the included applicator or a cloth
  3. Let it sit 2–3 minutes
  4. Buff firmly with a clean cloth until the base shines
  5. Ski

No iron. No scraper. No shop required.
