East Coast ice is unlike anything else on the mountain — and IceCoast™ is the only wax built specifically for it. Engineered for the hard-packed, icy, often man-made snow conditions that define East Coast and Midwest skiing, IceCoast™ delivers edge control and glide where standard all-temp waxes fall short. Made in USA.

If you’ve ever felt your skis chattering on bulletproof groomers, washing out on icy traverses, or losing grip on hardpack, you know the problem. IceCoast™ was built to solve it.

Why East Coast Skiers Need IceCoast™

  • 🧭 Built for East Coast ice: Engineered specifically for hard-packed, icy, man-made snow conditions
  • 🎯 Added control: Better edge grip and stability on bulletproof groomers and icy traverses
  • Consistent glide: Smooth, predictable speed even on the hardest surfaces
  • 🌡️ Cold-condition formula: Optimized for the cold, dry, hard-packed conditions of East Coast winters
  • ✅ Safe for all sintered and extruded ski bases
  • 🇺🇸 Made in USA by Hertel Ski Wax since 1974

The East Coast Difference

East Coast and Midwest ski areas rely heavily on snowmaking, which produces a denser, harder, icier snow crystal than natural powder. Standard all-temperature waxes are optimized for a broader range of conditions and often don’t provide the specific edge-hold and glide characteristics that icy man-made snow demands. IceCoast™ was formulated from the ground up for exactly these conditions.

How to Apply

Iron onto your base at medium temperature, keep the iron moving tip to tail. Scrape while still warm — do not let it cool before scraping. Buff to a high shine.

Perfect For

  • East Coast and Midwest skiers on hard-packed, icy groomers
  • Anyone skiing on man-made snow conditions
  • Skiers who prioritize edge control and stability over raw speed
  • Cold, dry winter conditions from New England to the Midwest
