The Accidental Invention of CheekPillow
I stumbled upon the creation of CheekPillow purely by accident. The original plan was for it to be two feet long, but due to a mix-up, I ended up with an 8 x 2-inch pillow instead. Curiosity led me to rest it against my cheek while lounging on the couch, and I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it was—no more sweaty hands or cheeks!
Over time, I discovered its versatility. In my FJ, I use one for lumbar support and another to cushion where my knee rests against the door, making drives to Tahoe much more comfortable. During the Covid pandemic, this small pillow became my go-to, even replacing my traditional travel pillow. It fits perfectly in my backpack, eliminating the need to carry a bulky U-shaped pillow during flights.
The uses for CheekPillow are endless. My friend takes theirs to the beach, and I use it under my skis while waxing them. At the gym, it doubles as a place to store my keys and provides extra support for my neck or back during workouts. I asked a few ladies at breakfast what they thought of it. She said, I think I would need two. Chuckle.
