Spring snow has changed — and so has SpringSolution™. Hertel has updated the SpringSolution™ formula in 2026 with stronger pollen-repellent properties, engineered for today’s earlier, heavier pollen seasons driven by a warming climate. Get two 5oz bars — the best value for serious spring skiers and race teams. Made in USA since 1974.
Why Spring Snow Demands a Dedicated Wax
Wet, heavy, pollen-saturated spring snow creates drag and suction that standard paraffin waxes can’t handle. SpringSolution™ uses a surfactant-based formula that actively repels water and pollen at a molecular level — now with a stronger 2026 surfactant matrix for even better performance as pollen seasons expand earlier into the ski calendar.

How to Apply
Apply by hot iron at medium temperature, keep the iron moving tip to tail. Scrape while still warm — do not let it cool before scraping. Buff to a high shine. Re-apply every 3–5 ski days.

Hertel is my go to ski wax !!! Ive been using Hertel waxes for a dozen years now and Its the only one I carry in my pocket kit on the mountain.
I just crayon it on the ski base and rub it it with a cork and "wax rag" the night before. ( I hot wax at the beginning of the season) This daily practice takes 4 minutes for a pair of skis and pays off for the entire next day or 2-5 days depending on the snow conditions. Its a must for an older skier like me as is provides incredible glide, makes turns easier, and is fast ! All these things combine to let you take 2-3 extra runs before the ski legs give out for the day. I've tried Swix, Toko, Zoom, Dominator, and others. They cost way more and now just take up space in my ski tune tool box in the garage.Iif you only buy one Hertel wax, get the Hot Sauce. It's a universal wax you enjoy for almost all snow conditions. Hertel also makes a wax for warm snow (spring) and racing. I ski groomers, off piste, and trees between 55 and 75 days a season in the Northeast and Utah.
Paul,,I was able to hide it so maybe next time. Thank for your kind words
Terry...pray for snow this year.
